About This Role

Perform tests on various analytes such as serum, whole blood, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and mild using agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID), ELISA, indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA), agglutination, radial immunodiffusion (RID), and SNAP to detect titers or disease and enter findings into computer. Setup, adjust, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and maintain the quality system through document reviews as well as corrective action responses and ensuring the quality of the test results.

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science with emphasis in microbiology, virology, and serology preferred.
  • One or more years of laboratory experience. Demonstrates proficiency with fluorescence microscopy methods and biosafety training and practices.
  • Serology lab experience
  • At least two years of laboratory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
