Senior Business Systems Specialist (Hybrid)

In this role, you will develop and modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. You will analyze business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translate into proper systems requirements specifications. You will understand the business, technology process (particularly AI delivery), and excel at turning AI tools into something people can confidently use every day-through support, continuous improvement, and smart partnership.

Position Compensation Range:

$88,000.00 - $145,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
* Leverages line of business and business system expertise including business rule and process knowledge to provide leadership for the most complex business application systems projects.
* Works closely with technology area to identify technology opportunities and share the business vision and strategy.
* Leads ideation, conceptualization, prioritization, and initiation for future system use and enhancements.
* Works with technology area to clarify business requirements where needed and assists in the development of the test strategy and plan for large and complex projects.
* Researches complex system issues and coordinates resolution.
* Researches and evaluates business system application developments and technologies within the insurance industry and business markets that are relevant to the business and future business strategy.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organization and multi-tasking skills; able to manage self and projects.
* Strong intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement; track record of demonstrating initiative and learning on the fly; tech-savvy.
* Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, and service.
* Demonstrated experience leading and successfully delivering technical process automation projects.
* Demonstrated advanced proficiency with relevant programming languages, (languages may vary by division or department).
* Demonstrated advanced proficiency with data extraction from relational databases and big data repositories (technologies may vary by division or department).
* Demonstrated advanced proficiency with business intelligence and collaboration software.

* Strong facilitation skills: workshops, feedback sessions, demos

* Trackrecord of improving a process-not just executing it

* Empathy and patience for users at different comfort levels with AI

* Ability to connect tool performance to outcomes (speed, quality, confidence)

* Experience testing prompts against real scenarios and edge cases

* Collects end-user examples, tags themes, and identifies patterns

*Helps define "quality" (accuracy, usefulness, tone, compliance alignment)
