Public Affairs Specialist

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a detail-oriented Public Affairs Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with CO, XO, ED, and Department Heads to maintain the command Public Affairs program;
• Provides professional photography, video, and audio services;
• Writes and edits articles for Navy publications;
• Supports crisis communications;
• Maintains command website, social media, and digital signage;
• Serves on MARMC Fire Response Team (FRT)

Experience:

• 2 yrs experience writing/editing publications (AP and U.S. Navy styles); knowledge of professional photography and digital imaging
• Experience with social media, podcast production, and on-the-spot presentations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere)

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Political Science, or English
