Chief Communications Officer The Chief Communications Officer will serve as the enterprise leader responsible for shaping, integrating, and executing the company's internal and external communications strategy. This role will lead internal and external communications that support communication of the corporate strategy, advance the company's reputation, engage employees, and ensure clear, consistent, and credible messaging across all stakeholders. Initially, this role will report to the Chief Executive Officer. Essential Functions:
Enterprise Communications Strategy: Develop and execute an integrated internal and external communications strategy aligned with corporate priorities and Jazz's mission and values. Own the enterprise narrative and key messages, ensuring a consistent, one voice approach across leadership, employee, and external communications. Ensure all communications reflect appropriate scientific rigor, regulatory sensitivity, and patient-centricity. Internal Communications & Employee Engagement: Lead internal communications to ensure employees are informed, aligned, and engaged. Translate corporate strategy, business performance, and key decisions into clear, timely, and relevant communications for employees across the organization. Partner closely with Chief People Officer, HR and senior leaders to support change management, culture initiatives, and leadership communications. External Communications & Corporate Reputation: Set the strategy and lead execution for external communications-corporate messaging, thought leadership, media and issues management, and social channels. Direct product and milestone communications planning and lead/support the development and delivery of diseaseawareness campaigns, as needed based on brand strategies. Protect and elevate the company's reputation with key external stakeholders (media, investors, partners, patients, and the broader healthcare ecosystem). Own the global social media strategy, ensuring content and engagement align to business objectives, brand standards, and all regulatory and legal requirements. Media Relations: Build and sustain strong relationships with journalists, editorial teams, and relevant influencers/advocates; proactively pitch and place stories aligned to the company narrative and priorities. Serve as the primary media spokesperson and escalation point, managing inbound requests, coordinating interviews, and preparing and supporting company spokespersons. Investor Relations: Establish a deep, strategic partnership with the Head of Investor Relations, who will serve on the Chief Communications Officer leadership team. Advise the CEO, Executive Committee and Head of Investor Relations on earnings, disclosures, and investor communications to ensure a cohesive, consistent, and credible corporate narrative. Channel & Content Oversight: Oversee the development and governance of key communications channels (e.g., internal platforms, corporate website, social channels, press materials), ensuring content quality, consistency, and effectiveness. Executive & Leadership Communications: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on communications strategy, messaging, and positioning. Accountable for developing talking points, presentations, and written communications for executive committee ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact. Identify and help CEO prep for external speaking events and brand building opportunities, as appropriate and aligned to strategy. Issues & Crisis Management: Lead communications planning and execution for issues management and crisis response, in close coordination with Legal, HR, Regulatory, and other critical partners. Ensure preparedness, clear decision-making, and disciplined execution during high-stakes or time-sensitive situations. Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with HR, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Investor Relations, and Corporate Development to ensure communications are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing communications team. Set clear priorities, provide strategic direction, and ensure the team is structured and resourced to deliver against enterprise and functional specific needs. Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics to assess communications effectiveness and use insights to continuously improve strategy, execution, and impact. Ensure alignment with corporate priorities and objectives.

People Leadership: Experience building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on talent development and accountability. Discretion & Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
15+ years communications/public relations experience; including leadership and strategic planning experience; internal and external communications experience is required. 5+ years of proven experience leading corporate communications at the most senior company level, shaping and executing comprehensive internal and external communications strategies that support enterprise-wide objectives required. Significant industry experience in biopharma/healthcare industry required. College degree required, advanced degree preferred

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $340,000.00 - $400,000.00 Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
