Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager in the South Subregion.

This position is based out of a home office in Charlotte, NC, Winston-Salem, NC, or Northwest NC.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling bulk nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, and helium to a wide variety of market segments, including oil & gas, metals fabrication, food packagers, and general industrial sites.

Air Products is looking for a professional with a focus on value-based selling to lead all facets of the sales process, from prospecting, preparing, and presenting proposals to contract and price negotiations and portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

  • Securing new business - exceed sales targets by selling our portfolio of products
  • Retaining existing business - manage customer relationships to ensure account retention
  • Improving portfolio profitability - increase revenue through volume growth and price management
  • Always representing Air Products in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner
  • Flexibility to travel up to 60%

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • A 4-year college degree in business or engineering is preferred but not required, or equivalent experience with a strong technical aptitude
  • 3-4 years of successfully demonstrated sales experience is required
  • Industrial gas experience is preferred but not required
  • A positive attitude and a passion to be the best in the industry
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work and prioritize independently
  • A desire to be part of a collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle
