A Brief Overview The CMMS Data Quality and Tagging Specialist will provide support within the CMMS team and directly to the field in the form of Service Desk tickets as well as overseeing and assisting in the gathering of asset data and entering that data into the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position will assist in review, quality check and post processing of Asset Data that has been collected in the field by other team members, along with working directly with field teams to ensure facility related assets are tagged and information incorporated into the CMMS system accurately; this will include validating the accuracy of the locations and positions of assets within the hierarchy, nameplate data, formatting data to provide accurate information, review of blueprints and as-builts, and assisting in the setup/update of information for the Preventive Maintenance Programs. This position will be spending a substantial amount of time traveling and in the field.
What you will do
- Inputs asset data into the Computerized Maintenance Manager System (CMMS).
- Assists with the Review, Quality check and Post Processing of Asset data that has been collected in the field either data they've collected personally or data collected other members of the CMMS team.
- Provides support to operating staff and collaborates with the CMMS team to assist in the development of common maintenance task descriptions and completion intervals in-order to make them uniform throughout the account.
- Reads blueprints, as-builts, construction drawings to assist with information gathering for the asset tree and equipment at facilities. Follows common naming regimens and abbreviations for infrastructure equipment and systems.
- Sets up and maintains asset lists within the CMMS system along with annual reviews for accuracy.
- Collaborates and recommends corrective solutions for system efficiency, including offsite assistance for remote users. Assists with implementing approved solutions.
- Provides technical guidance and problem solving by responding to user needs via ticketing/request system, phone, webinar and or in-person.
- May assist in training field staff on how to perform asset verification tasks and on how to use components of the CMMS system.
- Promotes high level of customer service to ensure and drive best practices and standardization.
- Travels onsite to oversee and assist in efforts to validate, identify, tag, and collect asset information for input into the CMMS database.
- Assists with creating, testing and maintaining SOP, Training, Quick User Guides and other documentation used within the CMMS Team. May assist with project management and presentation tasks within the team
- Assists Lead with the testing efforts related to new functionality, new modules and upgrades to existing modules and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process.
- This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED General Education Required
- Associate's Degree Technical or Information Technology Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Technical or Information Technology Preferred
- 1-3 years Technical Support/Help Desk Troubleshooting/Data Entry experience Required
- 4-6 years Technical Support/Help Desk Troubleshooting/Data Entry experience Preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of the importance surrounding data quality and data driven decisions.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and follow safety practices.
- Thorough working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software.
- Must be willing to work inside of an active correctional institution.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- Requires a self-motivated, independent thinker with an analytical mindset who can collaborate and engage within a team environment plus demonstrate organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry/field professionals.
