UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our inpatient psychiatry team at the UW Health Northern Illinois Center for Mental Health. As the only acute care psychiatric inpatient hospital in the region, our growing program provides essential services across the continuum of mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative psychiatric team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care.

Your clinical support includes:
* Providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for inpatients
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes board-certified psychiatrists, registered nurses, behavioral therapists (LCPC and LCSW), recreation therapists, and support staff
* Participating in daily treatment team meetings and care planning
* Supporting two full-day Partial Hospital Programs (PHPs) - one for adults and one for adolescents
* Engaging in the planned expansion of child inpatient treatment and adolescent half-day programs
* Working within a facility that includes a 4-bed psychiatric ED area staffed with psychiatric RNs, ED techs, and assessment staff
* 24-hour Crisis Intervention Team support
* Participating in rotating call (nights and weekends)

Qualifications:
* Current and valid Illinois license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
* Board Certification as a PMHNP
* Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred
* Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
* Passion for working with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, compassionate mental health care
