Responsibilities

Training and Qualification Supervisor

Fort Worth, Texas

The Training and Qualification Supervisor aims to develop our team members and eliminate skill gaps identified through robust qualification processes and insight. In collaboration with the site Operations Manager, Focused Improvement Manager and Enterprise Training and Qualification, this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of training strategies, plans and processes to support organizational goals.

Your seat at the table

  • The Training and Qualification Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and supports a variety of departments.

  • The T&Q Supervisor role requires outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including outstanding facilitators of learning and change.

  • A Training Supervisor is expected to be an analytical thinker with an organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Drive implementation of three base systems: skills, training & certification and administration at Plant and provide ancillary support as necessary across the network.

  • Analyze and manage the reporting data (Learning Management System (LMS) for online learning and Skills Matrix) and assess performance against set KPI's to validate performance.

  • Responsible for setting the training strategy including Master, 90 Day and Weekly Plans along with supporting GAP plans.

  • Duties include partnering with a variety of departments in developing, facilitating, and supervising training programs for employees to help advance their skills and improve their performance.

  • Develop training manuals that target tangible results.

  • Implement effective and purposeful training methods, enforcing training timelines and expectations.

  • Manage pay for skill model, qualification and validation of training for submissions to HR

  • Participate in (required but not limited to) GEMBA, Food Safety Audit Walks and Hold Reviews.

  • Support and drive Implementation of Enterprise Training Programs aligned to organizational priorities.

  • Qualify trainers for each job skill who are going to be part of the knowledge transfer in the plant and support technical training as qualified.


Qualifications

What you bring to the table

  • Must have 3 years minimum in a technical production role; qualified in more than one processing or skilled production role is preferred.
  • Must be fluid in Excel, Word and have ability to manage LMS programs.

  • Must be able to problem solve, research for data to prove error or improvement, utilize various metric platforms and follow up on findings.

  • Must be self-motivated.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours. We are a 24/7 facility, so this role will need to be flexible to work on all shifts as needed.

  • Must be able to make action plans against needed or role gaps.
