OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking an On Call Senior Technical Specialist to join our Nuclear Services & Technology team in Greenwood Village, CO.

Annual salary range for this position is $199,000 - $243,200. On Call employee will be paid for actual hours worked. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

This On Call Senior Mechanical Technical Specialist will work within the mechanical and equipment design group. This individual is a degreed and licensed professional engineer who can manage multiple tasks. Tasks include the design of containment systems (gloveboxes, hoods), material handling systems, radioactive material processing systems, equipment integration and installation, shielded facilities, and preparation of fabrication drawings, specifications, datasheets and calculations. The successful candidate will be capable of providing technical direction, guidance, delegation, and technical planning for select projects

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and designers.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record on mechanical designs.
  • Follow regimented quality assurance / quality control procedures.
  • Detailed design activities include preparation of fabrication drawing packages, equipment datasheets, fabrication specifications, procurement specifications, engineering studies, test plans, and detailed equipment sizing & qualification calculations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience.
  • Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 quality assurance programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading mechanical engineering teams within a complex multi discipline team.
  • Familiarity with Creo 3D design software.
  • Experience with prototyping, supplier support, factory testing and field startup.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
