Requisition ID# 169993 Job Category: Engineering / Science Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Gas Engineering Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: San Ramon Department Overview The Instrument, Controls & Electrical Group (ICE) is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, ICE is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's Gas Transmission electrical designs and aspects of projects that require electrical engineering. Position Summary This position is represented by Engineers & Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining. This is a senior-level engineering position. This position works with a high degree of independence on all but the most complex projects and is responsible for providing controls engineering for complex projects, maintenance, and operation support including, but not limited to: RTU and PLC programming, HMI programming, field support of maintenance and construction personnel and commissioning. PG&E is providing the monthly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual monthly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates. The monthly rate for this position ranges from $12,819.00 to $16,469.00, under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, subject to collectively bargained wage increases. Qualifications Minimum: A 4-year BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US. Candidates with a BS degree from other engineering disciplines may be considered with eight years of controls experience. Desired:
Knowledge/Abilities
Experience Mastery of the journey level engineer job duties or equivalent and demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform the basic duties of the senior level engineer. Meets specific technical requirements gained through a minimum of eight years of cumulative experience in engineering and design. | |
