Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, in partnership with Selma, is seeking an experienced, board-certified/board-eligible non-invasive cardiologist to join a full-time clinical practice at the Selma Cardiovascular Center in Winchester. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality cardiovascular care in the region. The incoming physician will play a key role in growing robust clinical practice while serving a rapidly expanding patient population.

Selma Medical Associates (SMA) has provided trusted, expert primary and specialty medical care to the Northern Shenandoah Valley since 1975. SMA is a 25-provider multidisciplinary practice that provides more than 60,000 patient visits annually and is located in Winchester, Virginia. The four divisions of SMA include internal medicine, family practice, infectious disease, and cardiology. SMA has extensive experience with clinical research, houses its own blood lab, and offers an Acute Care Clinic. SMA is a leader in value-based care and has a proven track record of improving care outcomes while lowering costs. A key focus of our growth is the Selma Cardiovascular Center.

SMA leadership has decided to "reinvigorate" its cardiology division by establishing the Selma Cardiovascular Center (SCC). The SCC will increase access to timely, lower-cost, and high-quality cardiology care throughout the community. SMA seeks to foster seamless care for its primary care patients who require cardiology care, and the SHC is expected to be a magnet practice that attracts community support and partnerships with other independent practices throughout Shenandoah Valley. The SCC is staffed by a combination of SMA (2.8 FTEs) and Inova (1.5 FTEs) Cardiology providers. We are actively recruiting a non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in nuclear cardiology. SCC provides a range of cardiovascular diagnostic tests and will open an outpatient lab in Summer 2026. The SCC has an ambitious 2030 Heart & Vascular Vision, and we are seeking providers who share our values and commitment to help us translate our strategic goals into operational reality.

The Physician is responsible for providing quality medical care to Inova Health System patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This role will also be responsible for conducting comprehensive medical exams, making diagnoses, developing treatment plans, and providing education and guidance to patients on disease prevention and management.

Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.
