Position Summary:

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking an Informatics Intern to support the Informatics team through case management, documentation review, and knowledge base improvement initiatives. In this role, you will assist in monitoring customer inquiries, researching and drafting responses, and identifying trends that help improve internal knowledge resources. You will gain exposure to how technical support teams operate while contributing to faster, more accurate customer response processes.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Monitor and manage assigned customer inquiry cases within established timelines
• Research and draft responses using internal documentation and knowledge resources
• Identify recurring questions, patterns, and trends across customer inquiries
• Assist in improving knowledge base organization, searchability, and usability
• Review documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
• Support continuous improvement of internal processes and response efficiency

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Familiarity with analytical laboratory practices and instrumentation
• Basic understanding of scientific instrumentation or laboratory concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns and improve processes
