As a Licensed Engine Mechanic at StandardAero in Augusta, GA, you will put your skills and powerplant expertise to use performing overhauls, major inspections, and heavy maintenance on Honeywell TFE731 and HTF7000 turbofan engines.

What you'll do:

  • Utilize precision instruments such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and calipers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines and APUs
  • Navigate, research, and reference technical digital documents, OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell turbofan engines.
  • Disassemble and re-assemble engines, adhering to OEM technical manual specifications.
  • Remove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
  • Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
  • Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
  • Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Participate in ongoing training initiatives on and off site through partners like CAE, FlightSafety, and Honeywell.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 year of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbine engines
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an overhaul, military depot, or MRO environment.
  • Must have a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing turbofan engines
  • Experience working on the Honeywell HTF7000 or TFE731 engine lines.
  • Run & Taxi Certifications on various corporate aircraft models.

  • Experience working in a Test Cell environment
