Job Summary:
The Business Support Consultant will partner with senior leaders to drive strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational frameworks and governance standards. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies and mitigate risks, while providing guidance on documentation and validation best practices to drive consistency and excellence. The ideal candidate will support the development and execution of key initiatives to drive business outcomes, leveraging strong analytical and communication skills to deliver results.

Essential Functions:

  • Support Lever Owners in designing and implementing strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with TCOC framework and governance guardrails.
  • Collaborate with Lever Owners to identify and mitigate cross-lever dependencies and risks, and track progress against financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain initiative documentation and validation standards, promoting consistency and excellence across levers.
  • Understands the strategic direction of business unit and the organization. Communicates the business units strategic plan to internal departments and external stakeholders for influencing decision making, selling concepts and providing advice and counsel that impacts business objectives. Develops communications and presentations for aligning cross-functional teams and ensuring effective execution.
  • Develops tactical plans and translates to project plans and leads projects from problem definition to planning and execution.
  • May lead, coach and develop a small staff.
  • Synthesizes collected data/information and advises management on options, risks, cost versus benefits and impacts on business processes, systems, employees, etc. May oversee reporting, monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Provides consultative support to organization management within context of overall strategic objectives and broad policy; typically supports senior management.

Required Experience:
6+ years related work experience.
Extensive working knowledge and demonstrated subject matter expertise in the areas of Federal, State and BCBSA regulatory mandates and compliance programs.
Demonstrated and recognized industry leader in the areas of Federal, State and BCBSA regulatory mandates and compliance programs.
Strong working knowledge and demonstrated expertise of Florida Blue enterprise-wide business processes, healthcare, insurance, risk management and regulatory matters
Extensive enterprise-wide knowledge and of compliance programs, processes and related policy development.
Recognized corporate leader, subject matter expert and designated expert witness across Federal, State and BCBSA regulatory mandates and compliance programs.
Strong organizational, facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and accomplish results through others, including persons not in the "chain of command".

Preferred Qualifications:
Health care and regulatory compliance related certifications.

Project management experience.

Master's degree

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $100,400 - $163,200

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $100,400 - $125,500

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
