Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President, Medical Group Operations is the operational and transformation executive for HonorHealth's employed Medical Group. This leader owns the SUPPLY lane and is accountable for: access performance; template governance; throughput/standard work; site level operational P&L levers; care model transformation (Primary, Urgent, Specialty); referral routing integrity; leakage reduction; and operational reliability. Operates in dyad with divisional CMOs, triad with People Systems + Growth & Experience, and matrix with Finance, Revenue Cycle/Professional Billing, and Digital Health/CMIO. Purpose: Align demand capacity; protect clinician experience; advance joy/meaningful work; deliver top decile PX; ensure financial & operational integrity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Operational Leadership & Standardization: Lead day to day MG operations; enforce single best way standards. Drive visit volume, panel access, cycle time reduction, staffing model efficiency. Run divisional dyads; hold Sr Directors/Directors/Managers accountable
  • Access Engineering, Templates & Throughput: Own access rulesets, template governance, slot management, scheduling logic (Epic); maintain 90% template adherence. Lead the Access Flight Deck (with Finance + Growth) for demandcapacity reconciliation, bottleneck removal, and site load balancing; enable same week access when appropriate.
  • Referral Execution & Network Leakage Control: Govern referral routing standards, in network capture, and closed loop follow through; partner with Service Lines and Growth to protect pathway integrity. Monitor leakage dashboards; drive corrective action with Directors and Growth.
  • Enterprise Access Enablement & Contact/Access Center Partnership: Co lead enterprise access enablement: capacity management & analytics, schedule templating standards, visit type decision trees, and access/contact center workflows. Advance digital front door and omnichannel scheduling (self service + agent) with IT/Digital; ensure Epic integration and access equity.
  • Financial Discipline & Site Level P&L Levers: Manage cost/visit, staffing mix, room utilization, template utilization; run required matrix cadence with Finance/RC/PB; convert enterprise goals into local execution; build growth/digital business cases.
  • Care Model Transformation & Digital Integration: Deploy team based care, asynchronous workflows, virtual care, e consults; integrate HRO/just culture and PX standards into daily routines with CMIO/Digital Health.
  • People Ops Closure & Culture: Translate People Systems signals (ER patterns, onboarding defects, burnout) into operational fixes; build scalable leadership systems; coach inclusive, execution oriented behaviors.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Compliance: Represent MG Ops in governance forums (access, quality, digital, performance); ensure adherence to payer rules, regulatory standards, credentialing in partnership with Legal/Compliance.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelors in Business, Health care or related field Required
  • Masters in Business, Health care or related field Preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • 7 years Multispecialty ambulatory ops leadership with access engineering, standardization at scale, P&L lever management Preferred
  • 10 years CMPE/FACMPE Preferred
