We are seeking a high-energy, technically minded Corporate Account Manager to represent the world-class Vermeer lineup of Specialty Excavation equipment, including surface miners and track trenchers. In this role, you will be the primary solution provider for large, complex organizations in the mining and pipeline industries, helping them overcome tough terrain challenges with innovative machinery. This role affords autonomy and an entrepreneurial drive while being supported by RDO Equipment Co., one of the world's largest equipment distributors. You will leverage the combined resources of RDO Equipment Company and Vermeer Corporation to provide efficient solutions for cross-country pipelines and distribution networks. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Management: Develop and maintain high-level, trusting relationships with key decision-makers at national and global accounts.
- Complex Solution Selling: Execute solution-based sales strategies that demonstrate a high sense of urgency in fulfilling large-scale project requirements.
- Field Engagement: Coordinate and conduct sophisticated field demonstrations, operating machinery at customer sites to showcase real-world productivity.
- Market Analysis: Analyze industry trends, competitor movements, and "Voice of the Customer" data to identify growth opportunities for the specialty excavation market.
- Collaborative Leadership: Partner with internal departments (Service, Parts, and Manufacturing) to ensure world-class after-sales support and fleet uptime.
Specific Duties Include:
- Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the region(s) and company.
- Lead the process of defining and communicating the company's core values, vision and mission.
- Lead the development and deployment of a comprehensive strategic business plan in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives; including but not limited to annual regional benchmarks and budgets.
- Accountable for ensuring all RDO Equipment Co. policies and procedures are followed.
- Coordinate key customer account activities through the regional management teams.
- Coach and mentor the Account Managers and support team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Ensure customer satisfaction. Work with all departments to know the customer's current and future expectations and work to resolve customer concerns.
- Ensure that appropriate communications take place throughout the location(s) by facilitating/participating in both store-level and regional meetings/events.
- Lead and manage all business activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive and that all team members are committed to creating solutions and long term relationships with customers.
- Ensure that the company reputation and image in the community is consistent with RDO Equipment Co. Core Values, and that business relationships with all stakeholders are not compromised.
- Manage the evaluation, allocation, and management of physical and financial resources.
- Responsible for ensuring that sound and safe business practices and processes are implemented and continuously improved to effectively and efficiently achieve ethical business objectives.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
- Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, sales/team meetings and other related efforts.
- Ensure that appropriate communications take place by encouraging an open-door policy, and proactively seeking feedback from team members.
- Foster an engaged work environment within the location/s, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
