The Line Crossing Technician performs highvalue, highrisk work to maintain the safe operation of company pipelines. This includes routine pipeline maintenance, opensystem work, emergency response, and protection of the environment, all while complying with applicable regulations and company procedures.

What You Will Do:

Pipeline Location, ROW & Excavation Oversight

  • Conduct emergency onecalls and line locates and oversee thirdparty excavation and ensure safe onsite activities.

  • Maintain pipeline rightofway, markers, signage, and monitor pipeline crossing installations.

Measurement, Quality & Operational Support

  • Provide operational and custodytransfer support.

  • Conduct pipeline analysis to identify mismeasurement and calculate adjustments.

  • Support sampling and quality control tasks, including monthly grindouts and product quality testing.

  • Understand custodytransfer measurement methods and use of PD meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters, and solidshandling measurement equipment.

Maintenance & Technical Work

  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on pipeline and facility assets.

  • Complete pipeline maintenance tasks and support repair work, including emergency repairs and stopple work.

  • Launch and receive pigging tools, and support valve inspection, operation, and maintenance.

Safety, Compliance & Work Authorization

  • Become Operator Qualified for all covered tasks and oversee nonqualified personnel.

  • Follow all safety requirements for pipeline operations and maintenance tasks.

  • Issue work permits and serve as a company inspector for contractor work.

  • Eliminate, contain, and report leaks, seeps, or spills.

Emergency Response

  • Respond to emergencies and assist in maintaining emergency equipment.

  • Support containment, repair, cleanup activities, and preventive actions for abnormal ROW conditions.

General Duties

  • Represent the company with regulators, landowners, public officials, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Lead internal and external pipeline maintenance personnel when required.

Who You Are:

You Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1-2 years of previous experience.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Maintain 24 Hour on-call status.

Preferred:

  • Experience in operations or maintenance for a crude oil pipeline, tank farm, or delivery facility.

Working Conditions:

  • Field and office environment with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

  • Frequent travel along the pipeline ROW and to construction sites.

  • Overtime, schedule flexibility, and ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

  • Must manage shifting priorities and make quick decisions under intense conditions.

  • Requires professionalism and diplomacy with external stakeholders.

  • Works independently with minimal daytoday direction; hours may extend beyond normal shifts.
