Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing and driving Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the full production environment at TRUMPF Inc. This role leads the development and execution of improvement strategies aligned with SYNCHRO (TRUMPF Lean Manufacturing Production System) principles. The SYNCHRO specialist focuses on end-to-end production optimization, including planning, coordination, and implementation of process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and delivery performance. This individual will function as a key resource for applying improvement methods and tools according to Lean principles ensuring sustainable improvements through structured methodologies, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive Lean Manufacturing (SYNCHRO) strategies across all production areas, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.

Plan, lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, optimize cycle times, and enhance product quality.

Oversee end-to-end production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in workflows, layouts, material flow, and resource utilization.

Manage and coordinate SYNCHRO workshops (Kaizen events), ensuring effective execution and sustainable results.

Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

Develop project plans, define goals, track progress, and provide regular status updates and reports to leadership.

Ensure alignment of SYNCHRO activities with TRUMPF group standards, methodologies, best practices and objectives.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement by training and mentoring employees in Lean principles and SYNCHRO methodologies.

Monitor and sustain improvements by establishing KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring accountability.

Coordinate all Lean Manufacturing (SYNCHRO) activities with headquarters to ensure TUS is in alignment with Group methods and objectives.

Perform any other duties as designated by management.

Experience

Minimum of 3 -7 years experience in related position (Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement roles).

Expertise in Toyota Production System, lean manufacturing principles / techniques required.

Six Sigma black belt level knowledge also a plus.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large scale projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills are essential.

Must demonstrate an ability to encourage cooperation and teamwork from other departments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field required.

Master's degree (MBA or Engineering) or Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
