Endeavor Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Electric Motor Technician (Spindle & Servomotor) to diagnose, test, repair, and rebuild industrial electric motors and electromechanical systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting ability and hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities
Electrical
- Understands basics of AC & DC electrical & electric motor theory / Knowledge of permanent magnet motor theory & control a plus
- Fluent in use of electrical metrology (multimeter, LCR meter, megohm meter, milliohm meter, oscilloscope)
- Able to interpret electrical schematics
- Familiar with the use of inverters, industrial controls, CNC, PLC
- Able to solder electrical connections properly (soft solder, Pb)
- Able to electrically test a motor winding to determine pass/ fail
- Able to diagnose assorted analog electronic signals using an oscilloscope and other test equipment
- Familiar with G-Code
Mechanical
- Sound mechanical skills (intimate in use of hand tools and small powered tools)
- Able to read blueprints
- Fluent in use of mechanical metrology (caliper, OD micrometer, tube micrometer, bore gage, dial and test indicators, torque wrench)
- Familiar with multiple types of bearings, proper installation, and lubrication
- Can identify failed mechanical components
- Able to perform disassembly and reassembly of complex mechanical assemblies to tight mechanical tolerances
- Able to perform quality control checks on all elements of a mechanical assembly.
- Familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial motor repair, industrial maintenance, or electromechanical repair is preferred
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and electric motor theory
- Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeter, megohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Familiarity with PLCs, CNC equipment, industrial controls, and inverters
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a must
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment
