Pay Grade: 10
Salary Range: $71,216 - $102,474
Salary range updated 2/26/2026. Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Purpose/Objective:
Assists with the development and retention of private banking business. Assists the Private Bankers and MyBankers with high income/high net worth prospects and customers such as executives, business owners, entrepreneurs, physicians, attorneys, accountants, and others in a designated region, offering a complete array of company products and services in coordination with various other departments. Provides ongoing high level of personalized, convenient, confidential service for customers, serving as customers primary bank contact. Provides checking and savings accounts, commercial and consumer loans, mortgages, merchant services, cash management and other products and services. Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of company products and services. Assists the Private Bankers and MyBankers to establish market presence and large network of outside referral sources for new business.
Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on company intranet; policies include but not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money laundering policies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supports the Private Bankers and MyBankers in developing and retaining private banking business, meeting with high income/high net worth prospects and customers, offering a complete array of company products and services in coordination with various other departments according to established company procedures and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Supports the Private Bankers and MyBankers assisting with prospect and customer calls regularly to offer the banks products and services in coordination with other business lines as appropriate.
- Supports the Private Bankers and MyBankers by assisting with the development of new business through commercial lending, senior management, board of directors and current client referrals as well as centers of influence, including accountants and attorneys. Maintains network of referral sources and assists the Private Bankers and MyBankers to proactively ask for prospect leads. Participates in retail, commercial and other related business line meetings to coordinate efforts.
- Gathers prospect and customer financial information. Answers questions and follows up on information requests, includes and partners with personnel from retail, commercial, consumer, insurance and other departments as appropriate.
- Coordinates with related departments to review customer and prospect situations and decide on proper product and service to offer. Coordinates commercial, consumer and other loan requests through established processes. Evaluates entire client financial situation and recommends and negotiates for policy exceptions on behalf of clients, if applicable.
- Provides a high level of ongoing personalized, convenient, confidential customer service; coordinates account openings, loan documentation processing and ongoing account transactions to ensure quality service and minimize any work for customers. Takes customer service calls personally from clients, researches problems and resolves issues, such as ordering checks, processing wire transfers and correcting bank errors; makes policy exceptions within authorized authority or with management or other approval as necessary.
- Represents private banking at company functions, business groups and civic organizations to maintain wide referral network and enhance sales performance. Joins and participates in outside associations and organizations likely to generate prospect leads.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all bank products and services which may apply to private banking customers, including processes, procedures and guidelines associated with each; possesses experience and understanding to approach customers with unique financial situations and needs; maintains sales, negotiation and closing skills.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

- Must be eligible to be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry for purposes of SAFE Act, if applicable.
- Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or combination of equivalent education and work experience
Experience:
- 5+ years in banking/lending environment
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of private banking business development techniques, products, services, and overall industry
- Strong market presence with wide network of outside referral sources for new business
- High level of personalized customer service skills, including ability to work with wide variety of clients and provide and exceptional level of service
- Credit and financial analysis skills
- Ability to coordinate others and work within an organization to influence and get things done without direct authority
- Organized self-starter with ability to work independently with little direct guidance
- Refined negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of computer programs in general
