Job Summary
The Mortgage Fee Specialist is the primary point person to prepare and disclose revised Loan Estimates as necessary throughout the loan process.

Essential Functions

  • Review of daily reporting to determine loans that require re-disclosures.
  • Compare, analyze and prepare and issue Loan Estimate documents while determining which fees can be changed in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and escalate any errors and/or omissions for all disclosures.
  • Monitor e-mail mailbox for requested change circumstances (COC) requests and create tasks as necessary from e-mail requests.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and overtime as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience (required)

Work Experience

  • 1+ years mortgage operations (processing, underwriting, and/or closing) experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of current CFPB and RESPA requirements for Mortgage disclosures. (preferred)

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of RESPA and general mortgage/consumer lending regulations
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, verify, and track large volumes of borrower documentation with precision and speed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • High integrity and trustworthiness
  • Skill in identifying potential red flags in borrower profiles and escalating concerns appropriately

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.75 - $25.00 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
