Job Description

The Solution Architect, Cloud & AI Solutions is a senior, clientfacing technical leader responsible for designing and guiding AIenabled, Azurenative solutions for complex enterprise initiatives. This role focuses on applying Microsoft cloud and AI capabilities to real business problems, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and operationally sound.

The Solution Architect partners with Sales and Delivery teams from presales through execution, translating business objectives into pragmatic, implementable architectures while maintaining architectural integrity throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

AzureNative Architecture

  • Define endtoend solution architectures built on Microsoft Azure, emphasizing cloudnative design principles
  • Make architectural decisions across identity, security, networking, platform services, data access, resiliency, and cost governance
  • Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, observability, and longterm maintainability
  • Establish architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails aligned to Microsoft and Hitachi Solutions best practices

AI & Intelligent Solutions

  • Lead the design and implementation of AIenabled solutions using Microsoft technologies
  • Apply AI capabilities such as:
    • Azure AI services and platform capabilities
    • Copilotenabled and intelligent application scenarios
    • Datadriven insights, automation, and decision support
  • Partner with clients to identify highvalue AI use cases and translate them into deliverable architectures
  • Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise expectations for security, compliance, governance, and responsible use

Software Engineering Alignment

  • Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams to ensure solutions are buildable, testable, and operable
  • Define application architecture patterns (service boundaries, APIs, integration approaches) appropriate for Azurenative solutions
  • Ensure alignment with modern delivery practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps
  • Review designs and implementations to ensure engineering quality aligns with architectural intent

Presales & Client Engagement

  • Partner with Sales to drive solution design during pursuits, including discovery, architecture definition, and estimation
  • Contribute to proposals, statements of work, and executivelevel presentations
  • Clearly communicate architectural tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to client IT leadership and executives
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle

Delivery Enablement & Governance

  • Partner with Delivery teams to ensure architectural vision defined in presales is carried through execution
  • Provide ongoing architectural oversight and decision support during delivery
  • Identify architectural risks early and drive mitigation strategies
  • Support customer satisfaction through clear, proactive communication across teams

Traveling up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud architecture, or senior technical leadership roles
  • Consulting or professional services background
  • Experience working within architecture governance or design authority models
  • Deep experience designing Azurenative solutions for enterprise environments
  • Proven experience delivering AIenabled solutions with Microsoft technology
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Cloud architecture and platform services
    • Application integration and data access patterns
  • Ability to bridge business goals and technical execution
  • Strong executivelevel communication and stakeholder management skills
Additional Information

Base Salary Pay Range*: $170,000 - $230,000 USD / $155,000 - $215,000 CAD

*The current applicable Base Salary Pay Range for this role is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills relevant to the role, internal equity, alignment with market data, or other law.
