The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOC) is looking for a Systems Analyst to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i.

Supporting the Information Technology (IT) Department. The Systems Analyst works directly with the IT Assistant Manager to assess the current state of PMRF systems and work to implement enhancements to systems, processes, procedures and policies to improve performance and efficiency of the IT department. Participate in Information Assurance compliancy procedures and controls for all PMRF systems.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
  • Provide technical expertise at supervisor and management meetings, which may include necessary planning and scheduling of meetings.
  • Solving computer problems and apply computer technology to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Defining the goals of the system and divide the solutions into individual steps and separate procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date Configuration Control and adhere to all Configuration Management requirements for all Firmware, Software, and Hardware associated with the classified and unclassified PMRF networks.
  • Must have knowledge of programming or systems analysis. Work with databases, object-oriented programming languages, client-server applications, etc.
  • Perform the implementation of Department of Defense cyber security regarding IAVM and SRG/STIG requirements
  • Assists with cyber security incidents and resolutions, including root cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and cyber security analysts
  • Candidate must be capable of working in a team environment and participate in technical activities throughout the project life cycle and maintain a close technical involvement with all contributing organizations.
  • Ability to quickly adjust priorities based on mission or projects requirements
  • Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Perform other duties as required including property custodian.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks such as lifting, pushing or pulling up to 25-50 pounds. Physical positions will include, but not be limited to, walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing. Environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, an office laboratory in a confined workspace, with field assignments, sometimes in inclement weather.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Associate's degree in computer science or related technical discipline. (Years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree) (Advance certifications may be substituted for a degree or experience)
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT II required within 6 months of start (subject to change based on industry, DoD, or local policy requirements).

PREFERRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Advance knowledge and certification in both Windows Server and RHEL are considered highly desired.
  • VMware certification.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • One (1) year experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and advance IT infrastructure concepts
  • Must have basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting
  • Critical thinking - Proven problem solver
  • Must be proficient in report writing, gathering, and analyzing statistics, and using Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge/Administration of Trellix, LogRhythm, and MDE.
  • Experience with DoD systems and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge in Cyber Security Methods and Techniques.
  • Knowledge of DoD IT systems, to include Windows, RHEL, and comprehensive infrastructure concepts.

REQUIRED SECURITY AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Top Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
