Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a director of the Fins to the Finish Line* Program. This position manages the Fins to the Finish Line* (FFL) program by working collaboratively with student affairs personnel and academic divisions to coordinate program services, provide direct services to students, and perform annual program evaluation and reporting. This position may be required to periodically work evenings and weekends, including registration, orientation, outreach and other college-wide events, retention initiatives and the annual commencement.
*Fins to the Finish Line is a Maryland Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) initiative

Essential Duties
-
The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.
- Provides general daily oversight and successful delivery of a comprehensive program of intensive academic advisement, career development and financial support for program students; represents the FFL program on all relevant committees, within and outside the College; and creates and maintains collaborative partnerships that allow the program to operate successfully as part of the College
- Provides proactive and continued advising to a cohort of approximately 150 FFL participants, and assists program participants in establishing appropriate academic and personal goals through the advising process
- Prepares reports, manages the FFL database, and analyzes and uses data regarding participant success to recommend changes to program strategies, services and effectiveness
- Develops and communicates program objectives and outcomes, works with marketing and public relations to develop promotional and informational materials, and serves as an advocate and liaison within the College and the community
- Creates and presents student success and engagement workshops for FFL participants and travels with participants to off-campus academic and cultural excursions
- Ensures proper staffing, training and evaluation of all FFL program personnel
- Assists with the management of the FFL program budget
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
-
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Five years of relevant experience, including three years of experience in an advising role
- Strong computer, database, teamwork, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Preference will be given to applicants with:
- A master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience designing, managing or implementing cohort success programs or similar projects,
- Higher education experience, and/or
- Knowledge of retention factors and an understanding of the diverse academic and socioeconomic backgrounds of students

Supplemental Information

This is a full-time conditional (grant-funded) administrative position. Days and Hours of work are Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. - 4: 30 p.m. (1 hour lunch) with evening hours on a rotating basis. Starting salary will likely range from $66,400 to $75,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
