Job Summary

The Parking Supervisor oversees daily customer service and enforcement operations across MMC, BBC, and EC campuses. This role supports operational activities, supervises staff, utilizes technology systems and ensures high-quality- service delivery that aligns with FIU standards.

  • Supervise customer service and parking enforcement operations across all campuses, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow execution. Support parking enforcement operations through the active use of the Department's license plate recognition and photo enforcement systems, including camera monitoring, signage coordination, and immobilization processes to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant enforcement activities. Utilize the department's Security Desk monitoring system to support daily operations monitoring safety concerns ensuring proper incident and escalation reporting process is followed. Work collaboratively with the team using parking management software and enforcement technologies as the primary source of operational information, resolving system issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development of staff schedules, training, and performance standards to maintain consistent service levels. Collaborate with partners, vendors and departmental supervisors to ensure aligned strategies and smooth operations. Assists in the development of employee tasks, schedules, and training programs for customer service and operational teams. Effectively resolves customer and operational workflows and monitors performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous optimization of services.
  • Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator
  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of a specific duty does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma and five (5) years of appropriate experience including one (1) year of supervisory responsibilities; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and/or vocational/technical training. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.
