An internship with Cadent will give you the opportunity to experience what it is like to work at a healthcare communications agency. During your time with Cadent, you will gain valuable skills for both client services and project management that will prepare you for a future in the medical communications industry.

To culminate the experience, you will be given the opportunity to present to the medical communications team at Cadent on a topic relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. During this presentation, you will pull from the 12-week experience to demonstrate your understanding of scientific and medical communications.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Strategy and Project Management Intern to support the planning, coordination, and execution of digital initiatives across cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for a student with an interest in digital project delivery, data-driven decision-making, and strategic communications within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in digital operations, stakeholder coordination, analytics reporting, and project documentation while working closely with experienced digital team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and tracking of digital projects including AI-driven initiatives across multiple departments, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and milestones are clearly defined and maintained.
  • Assist in maintaining project plans, calendars, status trackers, risk logs, and documentation.
  • Draft and organize project briefs, meeting summaries, action logs, and follow-up communications.
  • Collect, consolidate, and synthesize stakeholder feedback during review cycles.
  • Assist in building reports, dashboards, and analytics summaries to support data-driven project decisions.
  • Support with the development of internal communications materials, and presentation decks for new digital initiatives.
  • Conduct digital market research and competitive analysis for projects and share insights with the team.
  • Help manage and organize files and assets within the agency's digital repository.
  • Participate in internal team meetings and contribute to client-facing materials when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in management, communications, business administrations, digital media, or a related field
  • Previous internship, coursework, or experience in project coordination, communications, data science, machine learning, UX/UI, or digital environments, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams); familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools, preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (inDesign, Photoshop), Figma, and/or generative AI tools, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Candidates must be a minimum of a Rising Junior and currently enrolled full time in Spring/Summer or Spring/Fall '26 semesters.
The Commercial Summer Intern Program runs from May 18, 2026 to August 7, 2026 and all positions will work full time (up to 40 hours per week).
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24-26 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
