Primary Job Responsibility:

The primary responsibility of the Reliability Engineer I and II is to enhance the reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment and systems. These positions involves conducting reliability analyses, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and identifying failure modes to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency. The Reliability Engineer I and II collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute reliability improvement initiatives, ensuring that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Description of Job Duties:
|
The Reliability Engineer I role is an entry-level position, supporting reliability initiatives and learning advanced maintenance techniques.
- Support and assist in mechanical integrity and asset integrity programs to enhance equipment reliability.
- Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking skills and focused improvement methods.
- Coordinate and assist with inspection activities using in-house and outsourced resources to ensure compliance with PSM regulations.
- Review and participate in the PSV and PVSV regulatory inspections and recertification's.
- Manage and coordinate condition monitoring activities and relay findings to the maintenance team to enhance predictive maintenance efforts.
- Gather and examine basic reliability data from field studies or database and correlate the data for analysis using well-defined engineering techniques, principles, and procedures to improve equipment performance, reliability, and throughput.
- Support FMEA and failure mode analysis to identify equipment failures and prevent future occurrences
- Apply engineering principles to assist root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and evaluate equipment performance and reliability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, programs, and services to enhance the mechanical integrity program.
- Write periodic reports or oral presentations to management and customers on specific reliability focused program.
- Contribute to the plant safety program.
- Involvement in the sites bi-annual PSM and VPP audit for Mechanical Integrity and asset integrity criteria.
- Ensures that HS&EP policies affecting the department are followed and maintained.
- Contribute to the accounting and management of the Annual Maintenance budget based off the Inspection and Reliability activities.
- Complies with and facilitate all change management process in his department.
The Reliability Engineer II role builds upon these foundations with greater responsibility, leading reliability improvement projects and providing technical guidance to teams. Level II - additional job duties include:
- Manage and provide technical support in project development, scope identification, QA/QC, installation, commissioning, start-up and work activities on equipment upgrades, repairs, and new installations.
- Conduct corrosion analysis modeling of the gathered data and calculate date of retirement of all PSM regulated equipment on site.
- Lead complex reliability improvement projects and initiatives.
- Develop and optimize predictive maintenance strategies using advance analytical tools.
- Lead in Engineering principles to Manage root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and evaluate equipment performance and reliability for improvement.
- Perform detailed failure mode and effects analysis (FEMA) to mitigate potential risks.
- Provide technical expertise in equipment reliability, lubrication, and asset management.
- Mentor and Lead junior engineers and maintenance personnel on reliability best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage/Coordinate to the accounting and management of the Annual Maintenance budget based off the Inspection and Reliability activities.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
|
Level I
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or manufacturing engineering.
- Prior experience of Non-Destructive Evaluation practices and techniques
- Ability to function in a self-directed work team.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Motivated self-starter, detail oriented and meticulous in record keeping.
- Able to successfully maintain effective relationships with external vendors.
- Knowledge of Condition Monitoring systems and techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production.
Level II
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or manufacturing engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA, etc.)
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, etc.)
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CMMS software and data analytics for equipment monitoring.
- Experience of ASME B31.3 process piping specifications.
- Experience of specific materials of construction of piping and vessel systems
- Experience of ASME IV pressure vessels and regulatory requirements.
- Experience of ASME IV pressure vessels and regulatory requirements.
