The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Senior Director of Solution Engineering for the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) vertical serves as a visionary leader for an elite team of Solution Engineers specializing in Slack and Analytics. This role is responsible for driving the technical strategy for some of the world's most innovative and largest enterprise organizations. The position sits at the intersection of sales excellence and technical innovation, requiring a leader who can navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals while fostering a culture of high performance and creative problem-solving.

As a key member of the TMT leadership team, the Senior Director will champion Slack's collaboration power and Tableau's analytical depth to deliver transformative business value. This role requires seamless collaboration with Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure the field's voice influences the future of the platform while driving significant growth in NNAOV and ensuring long-term customer adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and scale an elite team of Solution Engineers focused on the TMT sector, setting the bar for technical excellence, storytelling, and value-based selling.

  • Revenue & Growth Ownership: Directly impacts NNAOV by partnering with Sales leadership to architect and close the most significant and complex deals in the company's portfolio.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a critical bridge between the field and Product/Engineering teams, providing real-world feedback to shape the roadmap for Slack and Salesforce's Analytics suite.

  • Customer Advocacy: Engage with C-suite executives at global TMT brands to serve as a trusted advisor, aligning technology solutions with their overarching digital transformation goals.

  • Innovation & Excellence: Drive the development of "next-generation" demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that showcase the combined power of AI, real-time data, and collaboration.

  • Adoption & Health: Focus beyond the initial sale to ensure proposed solutions are architected for high adoption and long-term health, mitigating attrition and maximizing customer lifetime value.

  • Market Positioning: Partner with Marketing to develop industry-specific messaging and represent the organization as a thought leader at premier industry events and executive forums.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven Leadership: A minimum of 7+ years in Solution Engineering or technical sales leadership, with a track record of managing high-performing teams in the enterprise SaaS space.

  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the TMT industry landscape, including trends in digital media, telecommunications infrastructure, and high-tech innovation.

  • Product Proficiency: Extensive experience with Slack and Tableau (or comparable collaboration and analytics platforms) and the ability to articulate capabilities with business value.

  • Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to influence NNAOV through sophisticated deal architecture and a focus on customer health and platform adoption.

  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical architectures for C-level audiences.

Operational Excellence: Strong analytical skills to track team performance, forecast technical resource needs, and optimize the pre-sales lifecycle.
