Security Officer - Full Time Overnight

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access and visitor flow. You will deliver standout customer service and clear communication while partnering with site teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, lobbies, loading areas, and parking lots, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor processing by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing guests and/or vendors to approved areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site personnel and/or emergency services when needed and assisting with scene control.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate notable concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
