Security Officer - Day Shift Patrol

As a Security Officer - Day Shift Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with onsite teams, and deliver customer service that reflects our caring culture. In an agile, reliable, and innovative environment, you will work through teamwork and act with integrity every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a tech and/or telecom location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter gates to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, vendor, and delivery credentials as required by post orders, directing authorized persons to the appropriate check-in process.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
