Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility -Patrol Driver in Anacortes, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal for an unarmed patrol role at a petrochemical refinery location where you will monitor grounds, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors. This driving post requires a valid drivers license per AU Driver Policy Requirements, while you deliver with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, docks, parking areas, and perimeter lines; note and report unusual conditions, spills, leaks, unauthorized activity, and/or property damage.
  • Control access at gates and checkpoints by verifying identification, processing visitor and vendor entries, maintaining logs, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete written and electronic reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation; communicate updates during shift change and cooperate with site operations and Allied Universal leadership to address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
