Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover in Shelbyville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol units and public areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and customer service. You will respond to calls, document activity, and collaborate with clinical teams when situations escalate. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned areas, including corridors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and/or wayfinding, helping to support authorized entry while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrols, and notable activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and site leadership per established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
