Position Summary

The Quality Engineering Intern is responsible for varied tasks and projects, including quality investigations and verifications, Quality System maintenance / improvement and customer complaint resolutions.

Responsibilities


  • Continuous Improvement and Correction Action

    *Update and item creation on internal quality systems i.e. Quality Issues, Corrective and Preventative Actions, Supplier Cost Recover, Supplier Ratings, Dock-to-Stock Database and First Article Inspection Reports.
    *Lead or participate in corrective action activities in both production and office setting.
    *Create and revise video work instructions for various functions and departments.


  • Other
    *Assist with internal audits of the Quality System.
    *Update and distribution of quality system documentation.
    *Support and participate in Lean, HPT and Kaizen activities.
    *Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.


Qualifications

Qualifications

Education
*Currently enrolled in an Engineering Bachelor's Degree program.
*Must be a Junior or Senior status with GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
*Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
*Ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
*Detail and precision oriented.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and data analytics/Power BI.
