Position Overview

Organizes and implements a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third party warehousing. Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts. Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures. Companies may or may not have a logistics function. In all instances, refer also to Materials Planner, Inventory Control, Buyer/Planner-Commodity, Traffic and Import/Export.



Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing senior level logistics expertise and technical support to the Peregrine program.
  • Interface with 645 AESG, 645 AESS and the Resident Project Team (RPT) on weapon system requirements for aircraft availability and weapon system sustainment, to include support equipment, training, and technical data.
  • Interfaces and coordinates with the 645 AESS on all matters related to logistics and sustainment.
  • Develop sustainment and logistics support plans supporting end-user requirements
  • Assist with management of the programed aircraft baseline modification flow.
  • Assist with management of production and sustainment contracts with prime contractors.
  • Build and coordinate the Life Cycle Management Plan (LCMP), the Aircraft Availability Improvement Program (AAIP) plan, the Weapon System Enterprise Review (WSER) briefing, and other program plans as required.
  • Manage the unit compliance inspection logistics checklist through Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT).
  • Staff and report on taskers from AFLCMC, HQ AFMC, and HQ Air Force.
  • Interface with the end user and seek means to improve system reliability and maintainability.
  • Prepares briefings on logistical support projects and historical aircraft maintenance data
  • Assist in the evaluation of associated test plans, procedures, test results, and logistical support issues
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of briefings, reports, decision papers, and acquisition program documentation
  • Monitors technology, analyzes proposals, and evaluates concepts to determine technical feasibility and military applicability of aircraft support equipment and aircraft maintenance support plans


Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, a PhD with 3 years'
    experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to acquire a TS/SCI clearance with special compartmented access.
  • Ability to be clearable to Special Access Required (SAR) TOP SECRET information.
  • At least 5 years of experience in U.S. Air Force aircraft maintenance and life cycle logistics, experience with commercial aircraft is desired
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing aircraft phase/isochronal inspection flow (Flight Line Production and/or Phase/Isochronal Inspection Dock Chief experience preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience with use and management of maintenance technical data and organizational level training requirements
  • At least two years of experience in a Foreign Material Sales program office.
  • Experience in mobilization/deployment of aircraft and personnel in support of overseas contingency operations
  • Ability to support >20% travel and open to possibility of temporary overseas deployment in support of weapon system sustainment
  • A proven record in problem solving, effective communication, decision-making, financial management, program and production management abilities.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.


Global Comp

$105,000 - $125,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
