About the Role As a Member Service Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for members seeking support with their healthcare needs. This role requires a strong customer service mindset, patience, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls while ensuring accuracy and compassion. You will support members by addressing questions, resolving issues, and coordinating with providers and internal departments to provide a seamless member experience. Key Responsibilities * Handle 30-40 inbound calls per day from members regarding authorizations, status updates, and general inquiries. * Contact primary care providers and specialists to follow up on member cases * Assist members with denial letters, providing clear explanations and next-step guidance * De-escalate situations involving irate or distressed callers using professionalism and empathy. * Manage a wide range of issues coming from multiple departments within the medical group. * Maintain adherence to metrics, including call quality, responsiveness, and documentation standards. * Provide first-time quality resolution and answer calls within 20 seconds. * Make outbound calls to members exiting the medical group as needed. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apple Valley, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.81 - $21.81/hr.
