*Position:* Member Services Care Coordinator
*Experience Level:* Entry Level *Location:* Hybrid -Santa Barbara - can live in SLO, Santa Barbara or Ventura County *Employment Type:* Full-time *Description* We are seeking a compassionate, detailoriented *Member Services Care Coordinator* to support members with continuity of care, benefit navigation, provider coordination, and healthcare system guidance. In this role, you will assist with PCP selection, referrals, authorizations, and help members navigate MediCal and other available programs. You will also work closely with internal departments, providers, and community organizations to ensure members receive timely, highquality support. *Responsibilities* * Identify, triage, and transition continuityofcare issues while assisting members with *Primary Care Provider (PCP) selection*, benefit explanation, and program referrals. * Assist members in coordinating healthcare services between the health plan, network providers, RBM, specialty pharmacies, DME vendors, and tertiary care centers such as UCLA and other Centers of Excellence. * Support members with issues related to other health coverage, including researching coverage changes, documenting updates, and notifying the Recoveries and DSS teams as needed. * Provide member portal guidance, including explaining available tools, helping with navigation, and answering accountrelated questions. * Assist Call Center leadership by responding to member web inquiries and ensuring timely, accurate resolutions. *Top Skills* * Microsoft Office * Customer service * MediCal knowledge * Medical terminology * Call center operations * Patient services * Prior authorization support * Eligibility verification *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Must be able to navigate and understand the following systems/screens: * Eligibility (and nine subscreens) * MEDSLite & CalSAWS * Adjudication * Member Grievance - COG * HIS - Call Tracking System * Provider screens * Cisco Agent Desktop * RBM * Authorization Processing (TAR) * Claim Search * Problem Claim Check * Standard Reports * Procedure screens *Ideal Candidate* * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Customerfocused and compassionate * Ability to manage multiple systems at once * Comfortable with fastpaced call center environments * Strong attention to detail and problemsolving * A passion for helping members navigate their healthcare benefits *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Barbara, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
