Experience Level: Intermediate Location: Compton, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled* licensed vocational nurse* to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical support experience-especially in OB/Women's Health-and a solid understanding of patient care workflows. This role is essential in providing highquality bedside care, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities * Administer assigned patient care tasks within the PCT scope of practice. * Ask patients screening questions regarding pain and notify RN for additional assessment when needed. * Perform standard PCT functions including vital signs, intake & output measurements, weights, and patient ambulation assistance. * Respond to patient call lights, signal alarms, bells, or intercom systems to determine and address patient needs. * Turn or reposition bedridden patients to maintain comfort and prevent complications. * Provide physical support for activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and ambulation. * Review dietary restrictions, allergies, and patient preferences to help ensure appropriate meals are provided. * Measure and record food/fluid intake and urinary/fecal output; report changes to nursing staff. * Record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations as directed. * Gather patient information from caregivers, nurses, and physicians regarding condition and treatment plans. * Observe patients for concerning symptoms (e.g., wounds, bruises, abnormal vitals, cognitive changes, distress) and report findings to the RN. * Document patient behavior, concerns, and symptoms accurately in the medical record. * Remind patients to take prescribed medications or nutritional supplements. * Assist nursing staff during rounding and unit workflow operations. Top Skills * Ambulatory care support * Workflow execution * Clinical implementation Additional Skills & Qualifications * High school diploma or GED (required) * Two (2) years of OB experience in a hospital or clinical environment * Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association * Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license * Strong understanding of human anatomy and basic medical terminology * Excellent communication, patientservice, and observational skills * Ability to work in a fastpaced clinical environment with accuracy and compassion #prioritywest Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
