Release of Information (ROI) Specialist Type: Temporary, ProjectBased (3 months) Schedule: Fulltime Location: Onsite, Chesapeake Overview We are seeking a highly detailed and organized Release of Information (ROI) Specialist to support a special project aimed at clearing a backlog of medical record requests required for billing. In this role, you will work extensively within the EPIC Release of Information (ROI) module to generate, package, and prepare medical records for secure transfer to our contracted billing services vendor. This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable navigating electronic health record systems, following structured workflows, and performing focused, computerbased tasks throughout the day. Key Responsibilities * Review a provided list of patient charts requiring medical record extraction. * Log into EPIC and launch the Release of Information (ROI) module. * Locate the correct patient/encounter associated with each billing-related request. * Complete all required ROI fields * Select encounterappropriate documents using the provided job aid. * Generate the required medical record packet using EPIC's pointandclick workflows. * Maintain strict accuracy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance. Qualifications * Experience with EPIC, specifically ROI or medical records modules (preferred). * Prior work in health information management, ROI processing, or medical billing is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured workflows. * Comfortable spending the majority of the workday on a computer performing repetitive tasks. * Ability to work with confidential patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
