Job Description




As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver Full-Time in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential apartment community, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, respond to calls for service, and document security-related observations while delivering standout customer service to residents and guests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of apartment buildings, amenity areas, parking areas, and the surrounding property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe property activity, addressing policy violations such as unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or parking concerns in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications, and assist with resident inquiries and service requests as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required from the state in which the job is located in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
