Security Officer - Retail Patrol - Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol - Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist associates and shoppers with clear communication, and document observations for the site team. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover wider areas and respond to calls for service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential theft, and policy violations, and take visible presence actions that help to deter prohibited behavior.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide clear directions and request assistance from leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
