Position summary:
The Supply Chain Manager is a key role responsible for working with Legal, Finance, and Operations to develop supply chain, procurement, logistics, and warehousing strategies, processes, and policies that support safe, reliable, efficient, cost-effective, and risk-mitigating mining operations. This role oversees supplier relationships, contract administration, inventory optimization, and logistics processes to ensure uninterrupted availability of critical parts, materials, and services throughout construction, start-up, and ongoing operations. The Supply Chain Manager partners closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety to support operational readiness and regulatory compliance in a safety-sensitive mining environment.

- Work with Legal, Finance, and Operations to develop supply chain, logistics, procurement, warehouse, and records management strategies, processes, policies, and procedures
- Implement and execute supply chain, logistics, procurement, warehouse strategies, processes, policies, and procedures
- Periodic travel to mine sites, warehouses, and vendor and supplier locations
- Source vendors and suppliers and work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety on supplier selection
- Lead qualification and performance management, including cost, quality, delivery, and safety performance, of suppliers
- Manage supplier contracts, renewals, and compliance with policies, procedures, and commercial and regulatory requirements in coordination with Legal
- Develop contingency sourcing plans for critical and long-lead items
- Track and report key warehousing metrics to ensure effective operating outcomes
- Interact with internal teams and contract/supplier partners to ensure accurate and timely availability of goods, services, and equipment
- Administer operational procedures for activities, including incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
- Ensure products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner
- Ensure all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines are always followed
- Participate in health and safety meetings and risk and insurance reviews as required
- Partner with departments in weekly scheduling meetings to ensure equipment availability and job readiness
- Support and work closely with Legal, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Finance to support site and company risk management objectives
- Regular attendance

Essential qualifications and responsibilities: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, and/or procurement, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong manufacturing or supply chain management experience within cost focused and regulated environments
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and lead manufacturing and supply transformation initiatives
- Ability to facilitate collaboration and interaction with internal work teams, suppliers, and vendors
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and active listening skills
- Effective analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of internal employees and external stakeholders
- Highly effective organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Proficient in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets and data entry. (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Able to organize and file documents and records both electronically and physically.
- Applicable certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, CPSD, etc.) is a plus.

- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate office, warehouse, and mine site environments during site visits
- Ability to drive to mine sites, warehouses, and vendor and supplier locations
- Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders and walk on uneven surfaces as required during site visits
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a combination of office, warehouse, and mine site environments.
- The role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, noise, and moving mechanical equipment during site visits.
- There is the potential that the employee will be exposed to low-level radiation.
- Noise levels are typically low to moderate.
