UX Researcher - Financial / FinTech Experience Required Top Required Skills * 2+ years owning end-to-end UX research (planning fielding analysis insights) * Extensive usability testing experience * Strong qualitative + quantitative research skills * Ability to synthesize insights and tell compelling research stories * Excellent communication and stakeholder consulting skills * Financial services / fintech industry experience (MUST-HAVE) * Master's degree strongly preferred (PhD a plus) OR bachelor's with substantial handson UX research experience Location: Downtown Atlanta, GA About the Team The team supports a variety of complex financial and operational digital platforms, including: * Web and mobile applications for end users * Claims, underwriting, and servicing platforms * Internal operational and workflow tools Collaboration is highly valued, with most team members located in Milwaukee and New York. Role Overview A hands-on, research-focused role centered on usability testing, mixedmethods research, and full project ownership. You will work deeply embedded within product teams and will independently drive both research strategy and execution. Due to the nature of the systems, experience conducting UX research in financial services or fintech is required. Key Responsibilities UX Research & Collaboration * Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deepen understanding of user needs, pain points, and behaviors * Serve as a trusted advocate for user perspectives * Recommend appropriate research methodologies based on stakeholder goals * Identify new research opportunities that drive product value * Support initiatives across: * Internal claims and servicing tools * Web and mobile user experiences * Purchasing, application, and workflow journeys * Collaborate closely with fellow researchers End-to-End Research Ownership * Run research projects from planning recruiting fieldwork analysis insights * Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, heavily focused on usability testing * Create clear, actionable research deliverables such as: * Research plans * Moderator guides * Insight summaries and stakeholder reports * Present findings in a compelling, actionable manner * Maintain and recruit internal/external participant panels Research Methods & Tools Research Methods * Usability testing (primary focus) * Contextual inquiry * Interviews & focus groups * Surveys * Competitive benchmarking * Metrics and statistical analysis Tools UX Research Platforms: * UserZoom * UserTesting.com * OptimalSort Survey Tools: * Qualtrics * SurveyMonkey Collaboration Tools: * Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote) * Slack Required Qualifications * 2+ years of formal UX research experience * Financial services or fintech UX research experience is REQUIRED * Demonstrated ability to independently lead studies and deliver actionable insights * Strong qualitative + quantitative research capabilities * Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder partnership skills * Comfortable in fastpaced, highly collaborative product environments Preferred Education * Master's degree in: * HumanComputer Interaction * Psychology * Human Factors * Social Sciences * Related fields * PhD a plus Mindset & Work Style * Passion for humancentered design * Willingness to challenge assumptions in service of user needs * Strong ownership mindset with ability to operate autonomously * Comfortable navigating ambiguity Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
