The MTA is one of the largest transit systems in the United States and is seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to join the MTA team. The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for Electronic Technician - Radio. The Electronic Technician will engage in diagnosis, calibration, repair, and overhaul of all electronic, logic, and digital equipment and electro-mechanical devices, as operated by the MTA. Maintain all records and forms in conformance with all regulations and in accordance with the requirements of the MTA. Must have knowledge in the areas of electro-mechanical devices, communications equipment, and complex electronic circuitry. Must be able to understand and operate special test equipment to support maintenance and repairs, operate maintenance vehicles, and perform various other duties associated within the Radio department. The current vacancy is located at the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in Baltimore, Maryland. The current work schedule hours vary on a 24-hour shift.

Qualifications
-
Experience: Two (2) years of radio experience diagnosing and repairing radio transceivers, two-way radio, logic systems, digital circuitry, and electro-mechanical devices. Applicants must be able to perform the duties as outlined above.

Licenses & Certifications

Must be able to obtain an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator license before the end of a 90-day probationary period. Maintaining this license becomes a requirement of employment. Must possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Maryland.
