Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Department of Women's and Gender Studies ( WGST) is an academic unit in the College of Arts & Sciences. Our mission is primarily to expand the process of knowledge production by considering what it means to take gender, race, class, and sexuality seriously in our explanations of the world and provide a methodology that is interdisciplinary, multicultural, and feminist. We primarily serve the undergraduate populations by offering a major and a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. We also offer a graduate minor to PhD students working on issues of women and gender in other departments.
Position Summary
The Research Assistant will be conducting archival research for a Carolina Public Humanities project on Adelicia Acklen.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
