Job Location: Charleston, South Carolina, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina or Charlotte, North Carolina

About the Role:

Are you a motivated, entrepreneurial sales professional looking to elevate your career? DHL, the world's #1 delivery and logistics company, is seeking a Domestic Business Development Manager to drive growth in our domestic and transborder transportation portfolio. In this role, you will develop new business, strengthen customer relationships, and identify opportunities to expand our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, hunt, win, and retain business within domestic freight forwarding transportation modes for your assigned region.
  • Grow revenue by upselling additional services to existing customers.
  • Identify and develop domestic and trans-border transportation and logistics opportunities for DHL Global Forwarding.
  • Meet individual profit goals and KPIs defined in the Incentive Plan.
  • Provide domestic sales expertise to support business development in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and present solution designs and implementation strategies to customers.
  • Lead customer interactions, including negotiations and presentations with external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with other DHL sales channels, serving as a subject matter expert on domestic opportunities.
  • Support ad-hoc sales campaigns designed to drive additional business.
  • Serve as a champion for expanding domestic business within your region.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or a minimum of 5 years of domestic operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic transportation products (overnight, 2nd day, truckload, airfreight).
  • 3-5 years of domestic transportation experience, including at least 2 years in sales.
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality with the ability to generate new business.
  • Documented track record of selling and winning business.
  • Experience managing Regional Field Accounts.
  • Ability to lead and support domestic RFPs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

Pay Range: $84,675.00 - $112,900.00+ (Based on Experience)
