The JHHS Revenue Cycle Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring day to day adherence to JHM enterprise wide policies and best practices within the strategic revenue cycle vision for The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC). The incumbent is also accountable to manage and harmonize onsite cash management activities across Johns Hopkins Health System, including management of patient valuables, departmental deposits, and compliant financial teller protocols. Monitors and executes standardization of enterprise-wide revenue cycle processes and procedures as well as partnering within JHHS to ensure consistency is maintained for RCM site operations across JHHS hospital sites. This manager is also accountable to daily work queue monitoring, event management updates as appropriate and ensuring key performance indicators are met. This position works closely with JHH/JHBMC Admitting/Registration, JHM Patient Access, JHM Revenue Management, JHHS Patient Financial Services, JHHS Central Business Office, JHHS Case Mix and JHHS Regulatory Compliance, the JHHS hospital affiliates, Treasury Department, Corporate Security and Billing Compliance Department as well as the JHM Epic Team. The incumbent should be of an intuitive nature, improving work methods and processes resulting in significant time and cost savings and improving the overall quality of data collection. Staying abreast of changes and new laws and regulations in order for the JHHS facilities to comply with those regulations. Work requires internal contacts with all departments with both patient and revenue responsibilities. Communication with external contacts involve providing service to resolve complaints, resolution of verification and pre-certification issues with third party payers, clarification of technical issues and bulletins with governmental programs, and contact with peers to discuss patient access and revenue cycle issues. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance, or related field or 15 years of direct management experience in hospital receivables within an academic health system. Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or Information Management is preferred. Work Experience: Knowledge/Skills:
Salary Range: Minimum 38.44/hour - Maximum 67.27/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
