Job Overview
The Sr. Supply Chain Operations Manager at T-Mobile is responsible for leading complex, end-to-end network equipment supply chain operations, integrating forward (planning, inbound logistics, warehousing, staging/kitting, fulfillment, and deployment readiness) and reverse (returns, RMA coordination, repair/refurbishment, redeployment, and disposition) functions. This role owns execution across multiple operational domains and third-party partners supporting network build, upgrade, and maintenance activities. Acting as a senior operational lead, the role independently manages high-impact issues, escalations, and risk mitigation across forward and reverse flows. The Sr. Supply Chain Operations Manager drives sustained improvements in service, cost-to-serve, inventory integrity, and asset utilization, while advancing adoption of systems, tools, and scalable operating practices. Success is measured by reliable network readiness, reduced operational risk, and consistent delivery against SLA, cost, and quality targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own execution across one or more aspects of network supply chain operations, ensuring integrated performance across planning, inbound logistics, warehousing, staging/kitting, fulfillment, critical spares readiness, returns, repair/refurbishment, redeployment, and disposition of network equipment.
- Provide senior operational ownership of third-party logistics, repair, and disposition partners; govern performance at external facilities, drive SLA adherence, and resolve execution gaps across forward and reverse operations.
- Independently lead resolution of complex, cross-functional operational issues and escalations impacting network readiness, inventory accuracy, cycle time, cost, or service risk; drive root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, vendor performance, and cost outcomes; lead implementation and stabilization of new or enhanced systems and tools (e.g., WMS/ERP integrations, asset tracking, performance analytics) that improve visibility and control.
- Develop and present operational insights, risks, and improvement outcomes to senior leadership; translate performance data into clear recommendations supporting network and supply chain decisions.
- Lead and support short- and long-term initiatives including special projects, onboarding of new suppliers or capabilities, and forward/reverse supply chain transformation efforts aligned to evolving network demand.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required). Acceptable areas of study include Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Management or related field
- Master's/Advanced Degree Business, Supply Chain, or Related Field (Preferred)
- 7-10 years - Managing supply chain operations including planning, materials management, and logistics in a large organization
- 4-7 years - Experience in vendor and third-party logistics management, including negotiation and strategic partnership development
- 4-7 years - Utilizing data analytics tools for supply chain optimization and presenting insights to executive leadership
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Vendor Management- Expertise in managing and coordinating with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of services. (Required)
- Strategic Thinking- Ability to analyze current operations, identify strategic opportunities, and implement plans to achieve business objectives. (Required)
- Supply Chain Management- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes including planning, procurement, and logistics to optimize operations. (Required)
- Data Analysis- Proficiency in analyzing supply chain data to drive decisions and improve operational efficiencies. (Required)
- Project Management- Strong project management skills to oversee supply chain projects from conception to implementation. (Required)
- Negotiation- Strong negotiation skills to effectively deal with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. (Required)
- Microsoft Excel- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization. (Required)
- Leadership- Strong leadership skills to manage and inspire the supply chain team to achieve business goals. (Required)
- Problem Solving Ability to identify problems, analyze underlying factors and propose solutions in a timely and effective manner. (Required)
- Change Management- Experience in managing change, including the ability to lead a team through changes in business processes and technologies.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification from APICS that demonstrates knowledge in supply chain management and the ability to effectively streamline operations. (Preferred)
- Supply Chain Management (CPIM) This certification from APICS shows expertise in production and inventory management, crucial for optimizing supply chain efficiency. (Preferred)

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
