POSITION OVERVIEW:

Partner with company leaders and teams to develop and execute strategies to advocate for the company's interests in Washington, D.C. Monitor and influence federal legislative and regulatory activity relevant to the company's operations and ensure the company's priorities are reflected. Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, federal agencies, key stakeholders and industry coalitions. Ensure alignment of public policy initiatives and corporate objectives and compliance with federal lobbying regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitor federal legislative and regulatory activity relevant to the company's operations
2. Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on federal policy matters
3. Represent the company in meetings, hearings and industry coalitions
4. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assess the impact of federal policy changes
5. Draft policy briefs, position papers and legislative summaries for internal stakeholders with support from internal and external policy and legal counsel
6. Advance the company's federal legislative, regulatory and political priorities. Ensure strategies are executed effectively within Congress and the Administration and coordinate cross-functional support for policy priorities aligned with business objectives
7. Engage, direct and coordinate the efforts of outside federal contract lobbying consultants
8. Support political engagement strategies, including PAC activities and grassroots advocacy
9. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
10.Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Business or related field. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements
* Seven (7) years of experience in government affairs, public policy or a related field
* Deep understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes
* Strong political acumen and strategic thinking
* Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
* Proven ability to build bipartisan relationships and coalitions
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with and ability to ensure compliance with federal lobbying disclosure and ethics rules
* Strong project management skills and ability to manage and prioritize competing demands and deliver results
* Demonstrated ability to manage a budget and ensure strong fiscal accountability

Pay: Pay Range: $116,600.00 - $204,050.00 per year
