Position Summary:

The Aftermarket & Logistics Director, directs strategic initiatives and leads teams in all aspects of logistics, including but not limited to: Salvage/recycling, Outlet retail stores, secondary market sales, production standards, donation acquisition processes, green initiatives, and safety standards.

Day in the life: In a typical day, the Aftermarket & Logistics Director...




  • Business Strategy & Oversight: Oversees the operational and strategic direction of donated goods logistics, salvage, recycling, Aftermarket Outlet retail stores, donation, and transportation logistics to meet or exceed organizational goals, including finding creative solutions to mitigate waste.
  • Performance Management & Budgeting: Directs process improvement strategies to increase efficiency, control cost, and deliver exceptional performance.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Effectively presents, communicates, and manages expectations regarding performance and initiatives to all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership & Development: Recruits, selects and hires qualified team members.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Oversees vendor and contract management activities to include requests for proposal (RFP), performance and continuous improvement discussions, and proactive risk management.



Job Pay & Perks:



  • Pay range: $112,033-$157,061
  • This is a flexible-hybrid role whose essential functions allow the employee to primarily work from a personal home office but also require the employee to work at a physical GESMN or partner facility as business needs require, sometimes with great urgency and little notice.

About you:

Required Knowledge & Skills

*Aptitude in supply chain management and expertise in development of operational efficiencies.
*Strong understanding of retail store operations as well as inventory management.
*Understanding of asset protection practices in a retail and corporate environment.

*Understanding of safety practices in distribution centers, as well as retail and corporate environments.
*Vendor negotiation and management expertise.
*Ability to analyze data, problem solve and think strategically.
*Understanding and management of P&L statements for multiple cost centers.
*Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
*Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize.
*Strong attention to detail and follow up.
*Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
*Perseverance and commitment to getting the job done.
*Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service.
*High level of initiative and self-motivation.
*Ability to interact with a diverse population in a human services setting.
*Proficient verbal and written communication.
*Proficient in various applications including Windows XP, Microsoft Suite and using the internet.
*Must have reliable transportation, as travel is required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software and the ability to accurately enter data into computer based systems.
* Must have a valid driver's license, be at least 21 years of age, pass a motor vehicle record (MVR)
check (no major violations, not more than two (2) minor violations, and not more than one (1) accident in the past three years), and carry automobile liability insurance coverage with a minimum of
$100,000/$300,000/$100,000 limits or a combined single limit of $300,000.

Prior Experience & Education



  • Multi-Unit management: 1+ year minimum, 3+ years preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience as noted below:
  • With a bachelor's or associate degree: Minimum of five years recent retail experience as a store manager with high-volume/traffic retail store; prefer 1-3+ years of multi-unit experience.
  • Without a degree: Minimum of eight years of recent experience as a store manager with high-volume/traffic retail store; prefer 1-3+ years of multi-unit experience.
