Position Description

Denver, CO Fire Alarm Service Superintendent

Cosco Fire Protection is a multi-faceted, full-service fire sprinkler and life safety systems company specializing in the design, installation, service and inspection of a variety of automatic fire sprinkler systems and fire alarm (life safety systems); including kitchen suppression, extinguishers and special hazard systems. Cosco Fire Protection is the largest fire protection contractor on the west coast and is currently looking for a Fire Alarm Service Superintendent for our Denver, CO District office. Cosco offers a tremendous opportunity to those business minded individuals in the fire protection industry.

The Service Superintendent must be experienced in the following within the fire alarm and fire life safety industry:


  • Inspect, service, repair, and maintain all types of fire alarm and fire suppression systems (e.g. Kitchen Hood, Fire Extinguisher, Clean Agent).
  • Supervise and direct the daily operational activities of the Fire Alarm Service Department, ensuring coordinators, inspectors and technicians meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct work in a safe manner utilizing all required PPE, safe work practices, etc.
  • Manage margin and costs on all service-related jobs.
  • Coordinate all equipment deliveries to meet customer commitments.
  • Hire, train and develop fire alarm service technicians.
  • Ensure all technicians have proper certifications and licenses.
  • Develop relationships with customers and local authorities.
  • New customers are sought out, and relationships are developed and nurtured to expand Cosco's customer base.
  • The level of customer service provided to the customer meets or exceeds company standards to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to become/be a member of UA Local Union 68.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience is required.
  • Inspections and repair experience is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise a department consisting of diverse personnel.
  • Track record of success in the fire protection business.
  • Self-motivated and strong desire to succeed with the company.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as be a team player.
  • Ability to balance workload to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including working outdoors, hot/cold weather, etc.
  • Understanding of NFPA, IBC and IFC Codes as they apply to Fire Protection Industry.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Relevant certifications (FA2 and/or NICET) are strongly recommended to apply for this position.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening.
